1. What is the history of Hillsdale Preschool & Academy?

Hillsdale Preschool & Academy was founded in 2005. With the state of the art facility and qualified staff, we are excited about the future of our school and its growth.

Hillsdale Preschool & Academy is conveniently located at the Veteran's Expressway and Ehrlich Road in Hillsborough County.

3. What is the dress code philosophy?

Students are required to wear our school uniform. Modesty is emphasized even at a very early age. Shirts carry an embroidered Hillsdale Logo and may be purchased at www.imagedepottampa.com. Uniform pants, knee length shorts, and /or skorts may be purchased locally. For safety reasons, tennis shoes and rubber soled dress shoes are the acceptable footwear. Hillsdale Preschool & Academy offers Christian education for Pre-K through 2nd Grade. Our goal is to provide excellence in education in a way that compliments your schedule.

5. What is the admissions policy and philosophy of Hillsdale Preschool & Academy?

Hillsdale Preschool & Academy is for families who are interested in their children receiving a Christian education. Complete enrollment materials are available from the school office. As you consider the opportunities at Hillsdale Preschool & Academy, it is our desire that while a broad variety of programs exist, there are certain admission limitations:

a. Financial limitation. Hillsdale Preschool & Academy must provide through its overall income and tuition a reasonable wage for its staff.

b. Academic limitation. There are children whose academic or behavioral needs cannot be met at Hillsdale Preschool & Academy . The academic programs at Hillsdale Preschool & Academy will be as thorough as possible, yet it may not suit every child.

c. Philosophical limitation. Christian education, by nature, represents a specific community of faith. The education at Hillsdale Preschool & Academy is centered on the unchanging Word of God as the authority for faith and practice.

The average class size will be less than 25 students.

7. What are the teacher qualifications?

Teachers must meet the requirements of the association certification of Hillsdale Preschool & Academy. In addition, all teachers will undergo interviews by the Administration and background checks. Hillsdale Preschool & Academy teachers are hired based on their professional expertise and their ability to model a Christian lifestyle and teach Biblical principles integrated with the subject matter.

The best available Christian and secular books are used. Hands-on learning reinforces textbook objectives.
