PASTORAL STAFF
Dr. Travis D. Smith, Senior Pastor
 Dr. Travis Smith, born in Lancaster, SC in 1956, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sacred Music in 1977. From 1979-1985
he served as the Youth and Music Pastor at First Baptist Church of Sterling
Heights, Michigan. In 1985 he came to Hillsdale Baptist Church as the Youth
Pastor and served in that ministry until 1995, when Dr. Alan J. Bradshaw
(former Pastor) died. Dr. Smith was voted Senior Pastor of Hillsdale in
1995 and has served in this ministry since. He received his Master of Arts
in Pastoral Studies in 1997.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude. In May of 2000 Dr. Smith received an honorary
Doctor of Divinity Degree.
John Tracy, Music Pastor
 John Tracy, Music Pastor, grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. He accepted Christ as His Savior at the age of five. He has a Bachelor's Degree in
Church Music and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Pastoral Studies. From 2000-2004 he served as the Music Pastor and Music Administrator of Calvary Baptist Church and Academy in Midland, Michigan. He became the Music Pastor of Hillsdale in June of 2004 where he is responsible for overseeing all music ministries. John is also the director of the Hillsdale Fine Arts Academy. In addition to his music responsibilites he heads up the Crossroads College Ministry. He has a heart to see this dynamic group of young singles grow in their relationship with God and use their abilities to serve Him. In his spare time he writes, publishes, and records music through his independent record label, Witness Music.
Rev. Brian Barber, Discipleship Pastor
 Brian Barber, Discipleship Pastor, grew up in a Pastor's home in McConnelldburg, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Bible College with a Bachelor's degree in Bible in 1975. He went on to seminary and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 1978. After pastoring in Cambrige Minnesota for two years, he moved to California to minister for 26 years at the same church. He served first as Youth Pastor, then Assistant Pastor, and finally Senior Pastor. In 2006 he moved to Hillsdale Baptist Church to become the Discipleship Pastor.
Bo Bowman, Youth Pastor
 James Bowman, Youth Pastor, grew up in Orlando, Florida. At the age of five he accepted Christ as his Savior. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Bible in 2001 as well as a Master's Degree in Pastoral Studies in 2006. In September of 2007 he accepted the call to be the Youth Pastor of Hillsdale. His goal in ministry is to see the lives of teenagers changed through the power of the gospel and the reality of a personal relationship with Christ.
